Toshiba Libretto W100 : Dual Screen Windows netbook
I think quite a while ago we looked at a prototype of a dual screened netbook/slate type computer substituting the keyboard for another touchscreen with a software keyboard for extra screen space. Well now Toshiba have announced the “clamshell” Libretto W100 a similar affair, obviously taking the simplicity of a DS and adding the functionality of a netbook and smartphone.
The two 7” screens run Windows 7 Home Premium, with an Intel Pentium U5400 Processor. Further look at the specs show it’s no simple pushover either. With 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 62GB SSD storage, N-standard WiFi, SB, microSD and a 1MP webcam the user also has a choice of built in 3G connectivity too. Sadly the downside is the battery life which Tosh claims is a measly 3 and a half hours.
Everybody was looking forward to a Microsof slate after iPad rocked the world but it never surfaced. This is certainly looking promising as a player in the market and certainly will be interesting to see in action. Bad news is we only know it’s getting released sometime over the summer and there’s no price.

Motorola Droid(Milestone) X : US release 15th July
The Motorola Droid or Milestone as us Brits know it by had quite a good success in this country, but was even more successful in the States. Well the US phone company has now announced the first Milestone family follow up will be due July 15th in the US, in time to rival the now released iPhone 4. One of the main successes for the Milestone/Droid was its Android OS and its slide out keyboard which although wasn’t the most comfortable it worked pretty well. The rumour mill has ground out quite a few chunks of information or photos of dropped protoypes in gym’s etc well now we have an official update for sure.
The Droid/Milestone X doesn’t appear to have the keyboard last time opting for a total touchscreen experience. A 4.3” FWVGA 854×480 screen certainly makes the phone look large, like the Xperia X10 but the body itself is still pretty slim. Powered by a 1GHz processor running the brilliant Android 2.1 upgradeable to 2.2 Froyo later this summer for Flash support) with an all new MotoBlur running over the top. It will also have an 8MP camera with 720p video capture and further media support with an apparent DLNA app and HDMI out.
Unfortunately the release is US only for now but keep an eye out for a UK release.

Is HTC Evo 4G in Stock

Is HTC EVO 4G in stock (retail or online stores)? Nope, no wonder it’s the number one Sprint phone this year. Sure, Palm Pre had its share of spotlight during CTIA 2009, but the HTC EVO generated even more buzz in 2010.

Toshiba Satellite T210/T230 Laptops
If you’re not a gamer, more of a business user chances are you want an ultra portable laptop that doesn’t leave out all the goods required for a useful, fast computer. Toshiba Satellite laptops have always been reliable and do tend to deliver in their field. Now they’ve release two new models to the line, the thinnest Satellite models yet a mere 17.6mm.
Firstly is the T210. Packing a Intel Pentium U5400 processor this 1.48Kg, 11.3” laptop comes with up to 3GB of memory, 250GB of storage and the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Bundled with Windows 7 Home Premium and a battery life that Toshiba have said will last 8.5 hours.
The second is the T230. A slightly heftier 1.75Kg this has a 13.3” screen, running an Intel Core i3 processor, up to 4GB of RAM and 500GB of hard storage and again Windows 7 Home Premium. What’s surprising is the battery life for this is exactly the same as its smaller counterpart.
Both the Toshiba Satellite T210 and T230 will be available in July, however no pricing has been confirmed.

You probably know that Sprint has always been the first one to release Palm smartphones. But who else carry the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus?

Acer Aspire One 533 : HD netbook
The thing with netbooks in my opinion is they’re all well and good to carry about and do the odd bit of word processing or web surfingin a coffee shop, but they cant really do much else. Acer has obviously noted this and has updated its range to allow HD video capabilities but also given them extra connectivity but still giving decent battery life.
The Aspire One 533 has a 10.1” 1280 x 720 screen. Alright it’s not Full HD but 720p is still pretty good. Powered by either the Intel Atom N455 nor N475 you can opt for 1GB or 2GB of memory. It also has up to 250GB of storage. The standard WiFi comes too but you can also have the option to include 3G connectivity and the latest Bluetooth 3.0. Battery wise, there’s 3 options for you to pick from. The highest being a six-cell affair which will give up to 10 hours of use, but also will add weight.
Available in July there’s no price but with so many options to choose from they’re going to vary anyway.
